city nature

Reading "City Eclogue", by Ed Roberson the first time I had no idea what he was doing. These poems you defiantly have to read them twice or more. I finally started to understand after finding the definition of Eclogue,  which is a poem which shepherd converse or in dialogue depicting rural life as free from the complexing and corruption of more civilized life(pastoral). This is a fight between city and nature, the describing of both and how human see or degrade it.  This is a speech between them but it has missing words or phases or even different way to interpret this speech.  I believe it can be read different ways, Not just normal right to left, it could be read in layers or in patches. With all the spaces, can be seen as fill in the blanks. Also, titles have important meaning to each poem, it gives a clue or starts your train of thought.

Like I said before there seems to be a battle going on between nature and city ways of life. I always find things like this, this 'Struggle' interesting.  I have written this in the past and plan to write in the future. The blending or segregating the two. I feel like now we are still struggling to keep them in balance. To not destroy or be destroyed
